On September 5th, 2019, the EABT-UA electronic autoblock was put into testing operation on the Ukrainian Railways network (Ukrzaliznytsia. Installation was carried out on the section from Domanyntsi to Kamianytsia – a single-track line with four sub-sections. The autoblock is created on the SIRIUS platform, it contains object controllers for LED lights and for connecting existing crossings.

Communication takes place via two backed up optical lines. Power supply of object controllers is carried out by means of a backup central distribution. The installation consists of 6 object controllers for traffic lights, 18 LED lamps with data binding, 19 object controllers for inputs and outputs, 2 object controllers for CAN data binding to an electronic interlock.

The advantage of this solution is minimising cabling and high availability thanks to power and communications backup. Tone track circuits from a local supplier are used as a detection element of track freedom. The autoblock is data-linked to the ESB-UA electronic interlock (derived from K-2002) and to the relay station security device. Implementation took place in cooperation with STARMON (CZE) and BETAMONT (SK).
