Project Description
WAYSIDE TRAIN MONITORING
- diagnoses the technical state of running railway vehicles
- hot box detector, hot wheel detector, flat wheel spots detector
- allows detection and decoupling of faulty vehicles – preventing serious accidents
- detecting vehicle and train weight (identifying both in the controlling system)
- main purpose: for the infrastructure manager (IM) on nation-wide networks, or for closed rail systems
FEATURES OF ASDEK TRAIN MONITORING
- detects and indicates technical faults on railway vehicles – hot boxes, hot wheels, flat wheel spots
- early fault detection prevents damages to occurring
- alarm to the supervisors station – to the station inspector or other staff
- detailed technical diagnostics – for each vehicle axle and wheel
- interconnection with operational systems of the IM and RU – identifying vehicles
TECHNICAL FEATURES
- principles: measuring wheel and bearing temperatures; strain gauge measuring of forces and surges of running vehicle on rails
- rail contact COK/HS – detecting of the passing vehicles axles
- scanning signals from the sensors and converting to digital, software evaluation on site
- technical autotest after every train pass
- detected defects record – software- based, printed record and sound alarm at the supervisors station
RECOMMENDED DEPLOYMENT AND USAGE
- mount on vide track, if possible, on a straight where trains are passing at a constant speed
- network-wide effect – deployment on the whole network or on the principal lines at regular intervals (recommended 30 – 50km) facilitates repeated measurement along the whole route
- controlling information system – assigns the detected data to an identified train and vehicle
- evaluates timelines and reports on the data
- easy installation, weather resistant and environment resistant
